Bored motion/graphic designer / video editor

I'm a multimedia designer but no one knows what that is. I do the above (title) but to a very meh, average standard at an in-house agency, partially due to restrictive brand guidelines and my lack of effort. I had a period where I focused on advancing my portfolio, creating my own work with no creative limitations on Adobe Creative Cloud, and eventually lost interest in following tutorials on YouTube and hours behind a computer screen.

Since I get nothing out of the work I do, I’ve turned into an after-school kid. I play 5 aside football, write/perform stand-up comedy (not as consistently as I should), I’m learning Spanish, and trying to cook more interesting foods. I’m pretty all over the place trying to put this burnout energy into something. People don’t ask me about work anymore because I can barely remember what goes on with how dull it is. My hobbies bring me joy and I doubt I would’ve pursued some of them if it weren’t for my boring job demanding I try something new.

My office small talk skills are off the charts, and I’ve slowly become a personality hire at my company. I feel my emails are pretty professional and uplifting, and I don't mind writing them. Chatting is great, but I’m at a point where I would like to put my energy into something more constructive which I at least kind of enjoy.

So my skills...

I may be chatty but I’m a good listener, I don’t just wait to say what I want after you’ve finished speaking. I'm curious about learning most things. When I worked as a barman, I had a good instinct when to be casual with a customer and when a customer wanted someone more formal. I’m used to being the organizer of most motives in a WhatsApp chat. I completed a film production degree at University before my multimedia job and it has been utterly useless on my CV. I enjoyed most aspects of the degree, writing, producing, and shooting short films.

Writing, making things, making people laugh, and bringing things to fruition make me happy.

Any pointers on what careers to switch to, industries to look at or any advice on how to focus more on one thing and where to start I’m all ears.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my life at the minute.
