CELPIP Scoring
I just gave my CELPIP this afternoon, and I think I bombed it. I grew up in different English speaking countries and completed my undergrad in Canada last year, so communicating in English hasn't been a problem for me. Most of my friends are from Canada. However, I'm not sure if it was test anxiety or just the pressure, but I found myself not being able to keep up. I completed a few official CELPIP mock tests for the past few days and improved from CLB 8/9 to 10-12. I am aiming for 9+ in each part. I have a few questions:
I didn't have time to check my paper, and realized I wrote 222 words in part 2 for the writing section. However, I included greetings such as "Hi NAME", and "Regards, NAME". So, discounting these remarks would make my word count under 220 which is the acceptable upper limit word count. Does anyone have experience with exceeding the word limit? How did it go?
The room was so loud during the speaking section and I found myself freezing, stuttering and repeating myself often. Often, the timer even cut me off. Did any of you have a similar experience? How did you end up doing in speaking?
Is reevaluation for speaking and writing worth it? Would have to apply for each part individually?
