Finally got my BMQ date
Just wanted to share some news, I finally got my offer, and Enrolment/BMQ dates today. Signed for 5yrs as an AWS Tech, enrolment is June 13th at Oshawa Detach, and BMQ reporting is June 22nd at CFLRS and should finish August 23rd. If anyone else in going through BMQ for those dates, shoot me a message and let's get ready to trauma bond. Otherwise, looking forward to this next adventure.

Recruiting Center: CFRC Detachment Oshawa
Citizen/Permenant Resident: Citizen
Regular Force/Primary Reserve: Regular
Trade Choice #1: Air Weapons Systems Tech
Trade Choice #2: Weapons Tech Land
Trade Choice #3: Materials Tech
Applied: October 16th, 2023
First Contact: October 25th, 2023
CFAT and the other testy thingy they do: November 16th, 2023 Qualified 1st go for everything I wanted, woohoo!
Interview: December 19th, 2023, was reccomended for enrolment but my first hang up was here, I did not read the CAF Tattoo regs when I first got mine years ago, silly me. I had a Sailor Jerry-esque tattoo of a Lady Luck pin-up girl in the nude, had to get her covered up sadly, just put her in a night dress typa thing, did that on January 4th 2024, and sent the picture to my recruiting sergeant, got approved same day and kept the ball rolling.
Medical: February 23rd, 2024, Passed and recommended for enrolment. Now some may get hung up here, but don't despair, if like me it is just a few concussions and a broken bone as a kid/dumb teenager, you'll be fine, if it's anything serious they'll give you some forms to take to your family doctor to clear you.
Final Processing: February 24th, 2024 -April 22nd, 2024, this was my second major hang up. So my recruiting sarge didn't give me the security check forms to fill out when I went for my interview because I had to get my tattoo covered up first, and then on my Medical day the desk sarge said I didn't need to fill anything else out. So after waiting a couple weeks I decided to give them a ring a ding ding, and they sent me the forms, I filled them out and emailed them back, then it was back to waiting for the security/credit/background checks to be done. Moral of the story, Call your recruiting office if you suspect this step is taking a little too long, they may have forgotten to give you some paperwork.
Out of Final Processing and into the Competition List: April 23rd, 2024. You do not have to do anything here.
Selected: May 1st, 2024. Fucking Eh'right boys and girls, let's go.
Contract Offered: May 3rd, 2024 for AWS tech. Got my first choice.
Contract Accepted: May 7th/2024.
Swearing In: June 13th, 2024, Oshawa Detach.
BMQ: June 24th/2024-August 23rd/2024
