Bow hunting of deer in city limits -
The City Council will be voting on this Thursday, Oct. 10, during their work session which starts at 1 pm. The only public comments allowed will be at the beginning of the meeting as general citizen comments. You need to be there at 1 to do this.

The Treyburn Homeowners Association is behind this. Developers are taking all the deer habitat so the deer move closer to houses to feed. Apparently this bothers some folks in Treyburn so they want to make "sport" of killing the deer with bows and crossbows in their own yards. Bow hunting of deer has only been allowed on lots of at least five acres until now but the Treyburn HOA is pushing for it to be allowed on two acre lots and as close as 60 feet of homes. The regulation would apply everywhere within the city limits.

I have no idea whether council members will read the emails - might be efficient to put your position on the bow hunting changes in the reference line.
Executive Summary: Representatives from the Treyburn Homeowners Association have requested the City Council to consider changes to an existing ordinance which regulates deer bow hunting within the city limits...
Staff notes the two requested changes from the Treyburn HOA are generally consistent with the original proposal that was presented to the City Council on August 22, 2013. That proposal included a minimum requirement of 2 acres for deer hunting and established no buffer around dwellings.
