CPU failing need to upgrade earlier than expected
Hi legends!
So I have the unfortunate dilemma of a 13th Gen CPU (i5 13600kf) with the failing symptoms that I have read have been occurring like: irregular BSOD, excessive heat, random crashes etc.
I tried looking into it a little but it didn’t seem like a simple fix. I was planning to upgrade late this year as I need the PC for car video editing for work and gaming so it does definitely ensure a fair amount of heat. I probably won’t need to upgrade for a little bit but I just doubt the longevity of the CPU
So my current specs are CPU: i5 13600KF GPU: RTX 3060 12GB Motherboard: Gigabyte B660 Gaming X (also read that apparently gigabyte motherboards have it worse with this cpu problem) RAM: Corsair vengeance RGB 32GB 3200mhz PSU: MSI 750W I believe, modular
Looking at getting:
Ryzen 7 78003DX, a motherboard with that chipset, I believe an MSI tomahawk, kraken liquid dual fan cpu cooler and 32GB DDR5 ram, unfortunately it’s a $1500 cost I wasn’t prepared to fork out just yet and I’m still not yet.
What are your thoughts? Need some opinions, sorry this is long first time poster. I’m not as tech savvy as I used to be, used to build these things 🤣
