Those with Intel Arc GPU's, what is your opinion on them?

So I've been in the market for a GPU upgrade (not urgent, so could sit on it though) from a Gtx970 and have been very tempted by an Arc A770 as it has plenty of VRam, Av1 encoding and it's main use would be light gaming and more photo and video editing.

In my research though a lot of people have suggesting steering clear because of early reviews on compatibility, which I hear has improved, but the general consensus is to go NVIDIA.

What I would like to know is those that have arc GPU's, what is your experience with them, what kinds of use do you have for them? Have you had any major problems with them? Do you regret your purchase? Do you think the opinion of these GPUs are wild? Which arc Gpu do you have and was it good value for money?

Id love some thoughts and opinions if you have any to share would be greatly appreciated.
