New Glycerin 21s Tight on Top

Just recently bought a pair of the Glycerin 21s after happily using two pairs of 20s over the last few years. They’re the same size as I’ve gotten in the past but this pair feels extremely tight and uncomfortable right at the top of my foot, near the bottom of the tongue. I assumed it was because the laces were too tight and have tried redoing them but still feel the discomfort. Is this something anyone else has experienced? Should I just switch to a different sneaker? Thanks!
