Why do you love breastfeeding?
I’m 32 weeks tomorrow with my first baby. I’m SO excited about the idea of feeding my baby with my body, but I’m getting nervous about the effects on my (already struggling) mental health. I see so many posts and videos of people talking about how hard breastfeeding (or pumping) is, and I’m glad that experience is being normalized and people are finding community there, but I need to hear some positive experiences! I know there are all sorts of benefits for baby, but please share your stories about how you have benefited from it, especially mentally/emotionally.
It’s so easy to get stuck in the negative so I’m trying so seek out some positivity!
ETA: wow, I’m so grateful for all the responses already! You all have provided exactly the encouragement I was looking for. Many comments mentioned how much they love the bond and comforting their LO. I kept finding myself “rocking” my baby (swaying in my seat lol) as I read your comments, even though he’s still in my belly. 😁 I can’t wait for all the moments of comfort and bonding to come!
