The hate on Skyler is absolutely justified and here's why
A lot of posts in the past have defended Skyler for acting like a reasonable and moral person in the face of Walter's villainy. For the most part, I agree. However, the "hate" on Skyler is justified extremely early on in the series for this simple reason:
She doesn't do anything to help the situation.
I would argue that none of it is about misogyny, hating on women, or an attack on femininity. The situation is simple: Walter has cancer and the family is under severe financial risk.
Skyler doesn't do anything other than offer useless platitudes and impede Walt desperately trying to find ways to support his family to the point of cooking drugs. She stops our hero from solving his predicament while giving nothing in return. All she does is berate Walter for being a criminal even though, again, Skyler does nothing to earn the family money or resources to support their situation before Walt's passing.
