Fellow fencesitter!
So I had my consultation today to review my options / scans and moulds.
In a nutshell, my orthodontist strongly advised against aligners / Invisalign due to the complexity of my case (lots of crowding, one tooth is over jet, general overbite plus thin gums on bottom front teeth).
She adviced three extractions to make space which I was disappointed to hear. One extraction is because it's a baby tooth so will have to come out one day (already seeing gum recession). Bands were mentioned too plus sanding.
Expected 2/2.5 years, around £3,500. (I'll check if this includes extractions). For fixed metal braces.
Now I have all the info, I'm very much unsure. She kept reminding me it's a big decision so not to rush and it's okay if I come back and say no thanks. She said she's going to ask her colleague for his opinion too but said to me if I go ahead, it'll be a long journey and committment.
Think I'm scared of such a huge decision and the pain and if anything goes wrong!
