empire garden restaurant in chinatown

went here for dumplings once and it was pretty bad. not like inedible bad but not good. the vibe is eerie and kind of off. apparently it used to be a theatre, which makes sense as to why the place is so spacious. interior is kinda interesting but looks outdated. i'm genuinely curious as to how are they staying open tho, esp considering how big the space is. i can't imagine it filling up and i've never seen anyone else actually eat there, never heard this place be recommended.

there are so many other better chinese places in chinatown and none of them are as big as empire garden. feels shady lol.
