I'm 100 pages into Stephen King's The Institute and want to quit.
Has anyone read it? Does it get better? The synopsis sounded great but so far nothing really has happened and I'm just waiting for the 2 POV's to cross paths.
Also my biggest gripe with it so far is that he is writing like it's the 1960's but with occasional pop cult reference. I thought maybe it was just the first character POV given that he's slightly older. But now I'm reading from a 12 year olds perspective, who is surrounded by teenagers, and none of them resemble children from the 21st century. Golly gosh gee whizz Mr. I don't know why he didn't just set the story in the 60's or 70's.
