Black Woods Blue Sky - does it get better?

Hi all! Currently reading last month's book and while I was really excited about it (generally love magical realism), I find myself struggling to get into it. I'm 74 pages in and just am not eager to pick it up and see what happens.

Without plot spoilers, does it get better? Did you guys enjoy it overall? Ive never DNF'd a BOTM but I'm considering
