Slightly Elevated BP, Feeling Dizzy—Should I Be Worried?
Hey everyone, I’m feeling a bit anxious and would appreciate some advice.
I started feeling dizzy about a week ago, but I only started checking my blood pressure yesterday. Here’s what my readings have been:
Last night: 126/93
Today (around noon): 127/87
I’ve been scared because I don’t usually check my BP, and I’m worried it might keep increasing. However, I also haven’t been sleeping well—I went to bed at 4 AM, set my alarm for 7 AM, and actually woke up at 8 AM. I watched a movie in the morning instead of resting more. Could sleep deprivation be causing this?
Some other things about me:
I was feeling lightheaded, which is why I started checking my BP.
I don’t feel dizzy anymore, and my headache (which was in the back of my head and forehead) is gone.
My diastolic (lower number) improved today, but I’m still anxious about the numbers.
I’ve lost 27 kg over time and am still on my weight loss journey.
I’m prediabetic, but my HbA1c has been stable at 5.7% for the past few months.
I haven’t been consistent with sleep and routine lately.
Should I be concerned about my BP, or is it just a temporary spike? Also, should I avoid the gym for now? Any advice would really help.
