Your favorite “Egghead picks?”

Loved David describing Close Encounters as the “Egghead’s pick” for best Spielberg movie, because I feel like there are a lot of movies with reputations like that. Movies that aren’t necessarily the most popular or beloved but still have a reputation where you might hear people (eggheads perhaps,) say “X is kinda secretly the best one.” What are the best “The Prestige is secretly the best Nolan,” or “Jackie Brown is actually my favorite Tarantino” type takes?

Edit: this does not have to be pejorative! Sometimes the eggheads are right!
