What does white washed mean?

I was dating this white kid that grew up in Boston on and I grew up in the south shore and he called me white washed because I domt “act ghetto and loud “ and because i like the beach and soundgarden. Am I allowed to be offended that he talks down on me and black woman? Fyi I broke up with him due to other problems as well
