Meet Maggie my gender-shifting universe-issued short-hair-fluffy-tailed void.
Maggie was found with his brother and sister in a ditch by strangers. We were passing-by with our car and stopped when we saw the strangers roaming in a ditch with a little black fellow on his back.
Flashback. We had a Molly, another black cat for 17.5 years and she passed away on Halloween 2023 - very suiting for a black cat. With my partner we were devastated but convinced ourselves to only adopt again if “the universe” would put another black cat on our way.
The universe delivered this squirrel-cat last June. He was one month old when he was found. The strangers kept the female and we took the other two with us. Toby was adopted by my step-parents and they love him. And Maggie has lived with us ever since. We figured he was a male 2 weeks later but the name “Maggie” stuck.
Maggie and Toby reunited for a month during the summer and were stupid-squared. Running around the house at supersonic speed.
He has squirrel features and run on squirrel software climbing around and zooming in the apartment. He young and stupid and we love him.
