What's your game plan against bigger athletic dudes? (I'm 130 lbs)
Hey guys, I was wondering what your go-to strategies are when facing bigger, more athletic, and skilled opponents? For context, I'm a 130lb white belt, and my go-to moves in the gi are baseball chokes and straight ankle locks, while in no-gi I focus on ankle locks or any leglocks. I’m looking for advice on submissions, positions, or entries that work well for avoiding getting smashed by the big boys.
Also with guard retention, in a normal pace i find it manageable, but in a spazzy dynamic pace, it's hard not to get crushed.....
Any tips?
