Deciding to stop taking the pill

I think I would like to come off the contraceptive pill this year. I've been taking it for 13 years now.

I'm married and happy, stable enough etc.. so if a pregnancy did arise, it would be okay.

More importantly, I'm asking is there any side effects I could possibly experience? Anything I could prepare for or do now to help me transition coming off the pill?
