How to hook up water line to Bidget line?

Wife wanted me to install this bidget. Got to the part of hooking the existing water flexible line to the bidget attachment. Noticed water was leaking between the flexible line that was formed like a loop. Should I buy a shorter flexible line to install it straight up or buy a longer flexible line to prevent water leaking?
