No jumping to protect their hips, how do you stop a puppy??

Hi all

My guy Jack is 5 1/2 months and already a very lean 60lbs Everything says stop them from jumping, doing stairs etc to protect their joints during growth. OK, but has anyone owned a puppy?? I cant stop his zoomies, jumping on and off the couch and so on. Everytime he jumps i see future dollar signs lol

My house is also 100% hardwood, and no matter how I trim his paw fur and stuff he is sliding around like crazy. Jumps of the couch and is slippery when he lands. It isn't realistic to cover all my floors in rugs and mats.

I have 5 steps going in and out of my apartment that he does a few times a day as well.

So, how screwed am I with joint issues in the future?
