Can xanax permanently damage your brain?

So, I think the worst thing i've done in my life was taking benzos, i took them and abused them to the point where i took 30mg of xanax and felt nothing, i'm now 21.

Thing is i feel like my brain has been damaged from it, a lot, i switched also switched many meds and went cold turkey, but my cognitive functions are bad, i feel completely braindead, memory and focus.

I don't take it anymore, i quit cold turkey a year ago.
