It's funny how a lack of humanities exposure leads to Carcinisation...

Listening to this weeks episode I could only hold in my laughs as I realized that once again those in "Big Tech" reinvented the wheel again as the New Wheel (AI God/Hell/Pascals Wager) functions the same as the last wheel (Western Abrahamic conceptions of god).

I'm not sure if its cultural norms, beliefs and exposures in childhood that that led to Carcinisation, but I was godsmacked that almost a 1:1 reinvention occurred.

A similar revelation occurred when some user over on /r/betteroffline posited that 'LLM/Generative AI' is to "Big Tech" as 'Homoculi' are to 'Alchemists' and now every time I read the word "AI" I replace it with 'homoculi' and it removes all the pazzaz.

What have you guys noticed that keeps being reinvented?
