Intervals with my group today.
Thought I'd share here as a lot are beginners and love the sessions although they are nervous to start.
I structure the sessions really around them running a faster 5k as a lot run parkrun. The interval pace is quicker than 5k and the recoveries are slow jog and we re-group.
The penultimate interval we call Hammer Time, when you give it everything. This tries to get in the mindset of pushing earlier as you get towards the end of the run, as you know you've always got something for the final one.
We do 10 to 15 minutes warm up and drills and 10 minute stretch and cool down at the end.
Anyway thought I'd share here in case it gives you ideas or if you want to use.
