Batocera No Sound Thru HDMI?

I just started using batocera this last week. I have fixed most of my bugs but I can't seem to find a fix for my sound not playing thru HDMI.

I've tried changing settings in Kodi, the only thing I can't see is the ability to enable/disable audio passthrough.

I've cycled through every audio output and audio profile combination. The ones that say "analog" come through the laptop with no problem. The ones that say HDMI anywhere make everything go silent.

I tried changing the SOF DSP from 1 to 3, etc.. and everything else found on this page: audio_issues [Batocera.linux - Wiki]

The setup is simple:

- Lenovo Yoga C740

- External HDD WesternDigital EasyStore 1TB

The only thing I could think of is that I'm using a dongle to convert from USB-C to HDMI on the laptop, but it works for other thing just not Batocera.

I am at a loss an could really use some help!
