Has anyone with a similar prognosis as mine gotten surgery? Was it worth it?
Normal vertebral body heights. No suspicious marrow lesions. Conus medullaris terminates normally. The distal cord, conus medullaris, and cauda equina are normal.
Normal lumbar spinal alignment. Mild intervertebral disc desiccation at L4-5 and L5-S1. Disc heights are preserved. Mild Modic type I degenerative endplate marrow changes at L4-5.
The following axial levels are detailed below:
L1-L2: No canal or foraminal stenosis.
L2-L3: Broad-based disc bulge and facet arthropathy results in mild bilateral neural foraminal narrowing.
No canal stenosis.
L3-L4: Broad-based disc bulge and facet arthropathy results in mild bilateral neural foraminal narrowing.
No canal stenosis.
L4-L5: Broad-based disc bulge and facet arthropathy results in mild right neural foraminal narrowing. No canal stenosis.
L5-S1: Broad-based disc bulge and facet arthropathy results in mild right neural foraminal narrowing. No canal stenosis.
No abnormal enhancement in the lumbar spine.
Normal imaged retroperitoneal structures and paraspinal soft tissues.
IMPRESSION:
Multilevel degenerative changes of the lumbar spine resulting in multilevel neural foraminal narrowing as detailed in the findings. No significant lumbar spinal canal stenosis.
