Weird Safelite encounter
Hey yall! My wife and I had this happen last year and I just can’t let it go and have to wonder if this happens to anyone else 😬 we had Safelite come to our home through a USAA claim for a windshield replacement on our Range Rover evoque. The guy showed up on time and texted my phone when he had arrived so it all started off just fine. I go outside after a little while to get something out of the garage and find that my car was no longer in the driveway. I had the phone number of the technician from when he texted earlier, so I called him, because his van was still parked on the street. He answered the second time I called and said something very humbled about having to go to the auto parts store because there were some broken clips he needed to replace. I was extremely perplexed by this and was really too stunned to process it at the moment, my car ended up back in the driveway and the service went on as if all was normal. He did end up leaving a heavy duty Phillips head screw driver in the backseat, which we kept… but the entire thing was so weird. Thoughts?
