To diagnosed autists... Do you care about what other people think about you?

My psychiatrist told me that you cant possibly be autistic if you care about what other people think about you. Sounds kinda weird imo. Do you agree or disagree with that statement?

EDIT: ok I didnt expect this post to explode overnight, so I'm just gonna make an update here. I want to show my psychiatrist all your comments, but im afraid he's gonna dismiss them just because this is social media. Maybe ill make an update post after the next appointment idk.
