Balloon Pop 168db

Hi, I was looking online at DB Readings and one graph was stating a balloon pop reaching 168Db. The 168db comes from a supposed "study" performed in Canada, but this number seems unbelievable.

Could someone give me some clarity, I do not see how a balloon pop could register 168 in any situation and couldn't find any other readings beside the "Balloon pop louder than shotgun" news Articles littered through google.
