[spoilers published] “the oranges are well past ripe”

I’m on my third read through of the books.

I just got to the captain of the guards chapter and reading about how using a blanket hurts Prince Doran

One of the oranges falls from the tree not a foot from the prince. If a blood orange falls and lands on the prince how much damage would it do?

A deep bruise? Could it be fatal? How would this change the story
