Reputable places to buy a used laptop in Vancouver

I’m looking for a laptop for hopefully around $300-400. All I need is something that I can use MS word on and internet access. I’m recently unemployed and need it for my job hunt. There are so many places selling used laptops but have heard horror stories about buying lemons. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
