Can you remove a crown and not replace it?
hello everyone,
I got a crown a few months ago (around March) so it is still fairly new. I had gone to a dental office that switched dentists all the time so I didn’t have a main dentist that attended to me - I made the mistake of not getting a second opinion and went through with all the procedures they wanted me to do. I had a root canal and then immediately got a crown done (upper left side two teeth after my incisor). I had no prior pain in this tooth or anything and they made it seem like it was life or death. My issue is I was never told anything about the crown, never saw the color, they just cemented it and that’s all. The color is extremely opaque and like there was no transparency added to match my side teeth. Anyways I was wondering if it was possible to remove this crown - and get an onlay / inlay instead? They did remove a small amount of tooth but I don’t think it was that much. I’m also not even sure how severe the damage to my actual tooth was before they did the crown - I wasn’t told and they just made it seem like it was life or death. I know it was stupid of me and I feel stupid now. I just really hate the crown and would rather have literally anything else :(
