What 2024/2025 SUV would you buy?

I’m in a bit of a pickle and need to purchase a new vehicle on short notice. Since a car is a necessity for my job, I have about a week to do research and purchase a new vehicle. I simply do not know enough about cars to make an informed decision so quickly, so I’m coming to sub to aid my research and help me make a more informed decision. I’m looking to purchase a new compact or mid-size SUV (open to hybrid options as well). I’m looking for an SUV that:

• Is reliable
• Is best for a higher mileage driver (averaging roughly 20k a year)
• Has a spacious trunk with cargo room (a bonus if the car is equipped for car camping, but not a necessity)
• Has AWD

I’m mainly looking to buy the vehicle new because of end of the year promotions going on, and because I would like a warranty on my vehicle. I’ve been mainly researching RAV4s and RAV4 Hybrids because of the reliability of Toyota, but I’m unsure if there is a better option that I should be researching instead?

A hybrid seems like a good option due to how much I drive, but I’ve never owned a hybrid, so I’m unsure of how reliable those engines are. I’ve also been doing more research on Hyundai because of their warranty being longer than Toyota’s, but how does Hyundai compare to Toyota in terms of reliability? My biggest concern is purchasing a car that will run into a myriad of maintenance issues within the term of my car loan (outside of the warranty) and would like to avoid that at all costs— literally.

Are there any makes and models that I should 100% avoid?
