CNE Opening Day 50% OFF Deal - 2024

For the last few years, you were able to purchase CNE tickets on the Friday that it opened at 50% off. There was also a deal for rides that day as well.

I can't find anywhere on https://www.theex.com/tickets/ or online that this will happen this year. Does anyone know if they've stopped this promotion and so we have to purchase tickets online in advance? This is a pretty huge change if it has stopped. There doesn't seem to be anything posted about this. There doesn't seem to be an incentive to go on opening day if the promotion has stopped.
