Consistent dog barking in condo
Hello folks,
I don't post a lot of threads but I wanted to get a take on this, even though granted I'll admit I almost feel like a Karen about this cause like a dog is a dog. But anyway, this might be more for apartment/condo folks as obviously it's a different situation with homes.
I currently own a condo in a nice building, get along with my neighbours, and haven't had much of issue since moving in four years ago. However, about two to three months ago my neighbour on one side I believe moved out and new neighbours move in. They have an adorable dog, but the thing is, the dog barks...ALL the time. And not exaggerating either. While there is some silent, it almost seems like it just barks at the slightest noise. I could take a plate off my shelf and all of a sudden the dog is barking next door and it almost seems like no effort is made to get the dog to stop. It will bark as long as 15-20 minutes sometimes. And while I could understand maybe the owners are out to work, so it is what it is during the day. BUT this dog I've noticed has barked at 10 pm, 11pm, 12am, I've been woken up at 3am by it. I have spoken to the concierge/property management but they said there's not much they can do.
I'm just curious if there's anything that could be done. Again I do feel like maybe I'm being a Karen here complaining about a dog, and know I could get some interesting comments haha, but just curious has this met a threshold where something could be done? It's not the barking during the day that's the issue, people are at work, heck I remember my own dog would be at home alone (in a house) for six or so hours when my parents were at work and me at school back in the day. But the fact this dog is barking all hours of the night concerns me not just my own sleep but I'm almost wondering if they're even looking after him or her. Cause we're also talking not like 10pm one night, 11 the next. we're saying it'll bark a while at 10, then two hours later barking again.
Thanks for any advice and even if it's just "mind your business" I get it, but had to ask.
