Linux or MacOs for my bachelor?

Im applying for 4 AI and Data Science courses in NL and one Cybersecurity course in Belgium. Im about to purchase a laptop however im not shre what to go for. I need something powerful, with long battery life. I feel like Linux may be needed for those courses, but if its not id rather a Mac. What do you guys think?
