Need some help

Hello I’m not really used to using arctic fox dye and I just used the virgin pink on my roots and it came out way too light for my liking and I was wondering if I just washed it out too much or.. the only other time I used it was when I did black and that didn’t turn out quite right either. I tend to use box dye (I know it’s bad) but that’s why I’m trying to use other stuff. Thanks to anyone that takes their time to read this and give me some advice, its much appreciated:)
