How can I completely uninstall Norton?

Hi everyone!

Recently I've been reading up on viruses and antiviruses. I've known for a while that McAfee is hated by almost everyone. My PC (bought in September) came with Norton 360, I think with the MSi mobo.

I now realize that it's just about as bad. I've been trying to remove it in a way that it won't come back, and I don't think using their uninstalledr will work. When I try to uninstall from Programs it asks if I want to allow it to make changes, and I don't know what other things it'll be able to do besides uninstall.

Things I've tried:

• Deleting files via Explorer
• Uninstalling from Programs (didn't finish)
• Using TakeOwnership (doesn't seem to work)

How else can I completely remove Norton 360 and its installer? Without restarting from scratch please? Thanks!
