Has anyone in the UK successfully applied for a blue badge?

I'm in the midst of a bad flare up at the minute, I'm able to drive but I am struggling to get in and out of the car or drive any distance. If someone parks too close to me I really struggle getting back in the car.

I look at the disabled spaces with so much room and I know it would be so helpful. I'm 37 and other than being slightly bent over and a bit shuffly when I walk, I look healthy and active (Even though my body is torturing me on the inside) I know not all disabilities are visible, but I have been worried I would be super judged by using a blue badge.

I think I'm ready to stop caring what people think.

Has anyone here had any luck in applying for one?
