Long-term Zolpidem
I have had severe insomnia for my whole adult. I've tried everything and anything and finally found a solution in taking Zolpidem nightly. My doctor feels it's worth the tradeoff of it not being meant for long term use given my history and how much better my quality of life is. However, I experience some level of anhedonia that I think has been worsening, and I am realizing that it may have begun around the time I started taking zolpidem nightly. I can't remember exactly and I do hesitate to jump to conclusions since the Zolpidem solves a major problem for me, but now I'm starting to wonder... Has anyone else made a connection to long-term Zolpidem use (or similar category of sleeping drugs)?
