Thoughts on this cut-n-crown job?
Got my 104ur back from a builder a week ago. I removed the touch up paint and inspected the crown. It does not look like what I would expect from a professional. The crown is definitely not uniform (it narrows more toward the bottom of the bore). The face of the barrel and fsb is not 90 degrees flush. For what it’s worth, it passed the q-tip test. I’m not familiar with the process but my gut tells me this is no bueno.maybe there’s something I’m missing. I’d like to hear from you guys before I make contact with the builder.
