Anyone else notice sensory issues more as knowledge of ADHD increased?
Had a couple of mild sensory issues before I knew I had ADHD that I can think of now but I don’t remember them being as strong, as common an occurrence and on as many wide ranging things as I do now that I know about ADHD. Has anyone else experienced this? Seems odd.
I don’t know if I just didn’t pay much attention to it before because I didn’t know what it was and I would push it down. Or if I just seem to have more triggers for more noticeable sensory issues now?
Edit: particularly intense goosebump reactions to certain materials/sounds (e.g. sponge rubbing against crockery, tooth brushing, touching anything with wrinkly fingers after being in water too long, materials rubbing together, cutlery squeaks on plates)… but any sensory experiences are of course relevant and welcome!
