Xiaomi 15 Ultra missing eSIM option

Hi all! Just got my Xiaomi 15 Ultra here in the US. I imported the Global Version buying it directly from Xiaomi UK online store. First time importing a phone so a bit confused so please forgive me for my newbie question/scenario.

When I went to activate the phone it asked for a QR code to activate the eSIM. I got one directly from T-Mobile but it failed. I completed the set up and tried to go into the mobile network settings to retry to download the eSIM again but there isn't an eSIM option. Factory reset and it's still not there and there is no EID in the phone but one on the box. None of that allowed T-Mobile to activate the phone and they suggested I visit the store. Headed that way soon but thought I would post and see if there are any ideas.
