How big is the difference between Wynntils versions?

I want to play with the wynntils and voices of wynn mods, but theres a new version of the wynntils mod (v.2.0.0) which is not compatible with the voices mod (latest voices mod is for 1.20.2 and wynntils is for 1.21). the difference is big enough such that i shoul play with v2.0 even if i cant use the voices of wynn mod?
