HUGE SHOUTOUT TO OUR SERVICE STAFF, especially related to retail shopping.

Heading home from the USA today, and I have to say…. I miss home so bad.

I miss being able to walk up to a counter and say hello with a smile, and get a smile back. I miss being able to ask a question and actually have someone answer me instead of rolling their eyes and walking away. (I had to say no really, I’m wondering if you have this in another color - sorry) I appreciate how you keep our drinks full and welcome small customizations to meals (ie I’m allergic to cooked onions).

Hubby and I are big tippers, especially when we are being served by university students, and I’m actually coming home with half the tip money we budgeted because things were just THAT bad. But that’s okay, maybe one of you will get a bunch of $20s USD the next time we eat out in Winnipeg. I came with $1000 for the outlets and am leaving with $800. Lesson learned…. I’ll keep that money in my own city next time. Or maybe Niagara Falls… I still haven’t been there 😜

All in all, I have never appreciated the service staff we have in Winnipeg like I have this past week. There really is no place like home.
