Long thin worm looking thing

I got a few cucumbers while grocery shopping (all in plastic wrap, and one of the cucumbers has a long string like thing inside the packaging. I’m thinking it might just be a part of the plant, it’s a light green colour, but I don’t want to brush it off and it actually end up being something that affects what I’m eating😭
