[discussion] Anyone been through this hobby and circled back to quartz?

While I appreciate the history and like all the mechanics of an automatic, lately I’ve been looking for convenience and that means quartz. Just so reliable and almost maintenance free. I like picking one up and being happy that its still ready to go. The only thing I’d actually miss from automatics is the higher beat ticking but I guess I can look into quartz movements that have that too.
