[Question] ~ $220 budget watch for my father's retirement

Hello.

My father is retiring and I would like to surprise him with a watch.
But I'm on a budget, my idea is around €200 EUR ($220 USD).

He never really wore watches, so I don't know a type he would preffer, but he's really active, goes on hikes regularly, works outside... But on the other hand I don't want to get him a strictly outdoor watch, I'm aiming for more of a casual everyday wear with maybe just a subtle outdoor stylization.

I'm kinda lost in the world of watches, so if anybody has some time and ideas to share, I'll be glad. Thank you.
