I thought this game ruled

Let me lay my biases out upfront: I haven’t played the prequels, I bought this on sale for like $20, and I generally like Ubisoft games because open-world is my favorite genre.

That said, I really enjoyed Watch Dogs: Legion. It reminded me a bit of the Mordor games with its recruitment system, which felt like a simplified version of the Nemesis system. Definitely could’ve been better, but I think a sequel could improve on it. The customization was solid, and exploring an open-world London was a nice change of pace—London isn’t a setting we see too often in games.

I had endless fun making cars crash and running people over. The combat had some cool John Wick-esque moments, with satisfying gunplay and melee mechanics. Parkour was consistent and relatively fluid, and hacking was intuitive and fun. I also love immersive sims like Hitman and Dishonored (really loved that Black Ops 6 is incorporated some of this), so I appreciated that you could tackle missions in different ways.

Now, I totally get why people who paid full price might have been disappointed or why fans of the earlier games might have felt it was weaker. Everyone has their own experiences and biases, and I respect that—especially since I got it at such a steep discount.

But I see this game getting memed on and trashed online a lot, so I’m genuinely curious—what’s everyone’s take on it? Because, as I said in the title, I think this game rules!
