Gift giving when you know absolutely nothing by about the game IS SO HARD

Basically, I’m trying to get a birthday gift for my partner, I’ve decided I’d get him two things. One idea is a poster, since he loves decorating. Now here’s where the issue comes; I know what sort of style he likes but I have no clue which posters would accurately represent his interest in the game. Does it matter? Could I just get him anything as long as it looks cool?

Now for the second gift, I literally don’t know whether he’d rather have new paints, minis or a codex. What I do know is that he’s currently painting his space wolves minis, his favourite chapter is the salamanders (probably wants minis of it) and he has an outdated codex.

Could someone please help me I’m so lost!!
